Chase sought to boost engagement on their mobile app and attract a new generation of customers. Despite a strong digital presence, the app’s existing experience didn’t fully connect with younger users. Our challenge was to rethink the app’s capabilities and create a modern, user-centered design that encouraged frequent interaction and long-term loyalty.
To address this challenge, we introduced a new feature concept called Financial Freedom. This initiative aimed to transform how users engage with the Chase app by turning financial education into an interactive and personalized experience. Through weekly quizzes, challenges, and tailored learning paths, users could explore key financial topics and discover Chase’s tools in ways relevant to their own lives.
The goal was to encourage users to log in for more than just balance checks. This would make the app a daily resource for building better financial habits. To bring the experience to life, we incorporated a friendly mascot, vibrant colors, and conversational language designed to resonate with a younger audience and inject a sense of fun into the traditional banking experience.
